LinTO Live for events

Live subtitles and translation for conferences, assemblies and plenary sessions

Speech is transcribed and translated in real time, displayed on the room screen and on every attendee's phone through a QR code. Handled by our team for your event, or run by yours all year.

How it works

Your audio, our engine, your audience.

Plug in the audio

Your AV team sends the audio of each room, like a YouTube or Twitch live stream. For an online meeting, a bot joins Teams, Jitsi, BigBlueButton or Visio. For a small room, a microphone in a browser is enough.

LinTO transcribes and translates

Each room has its own channel and languages. Speech is transcribed in its own language, then translated into as many languages as you need, sentence by sentence, with no flickering text.

Show it to the audience

One page per session, opened by QR code or link: each attendee picks their language and reads, as subtitles or full transcript. A two-line banner for the room screen.

What is included

Subtitles on every phone

One page per session, public or password-protected. Everyone picks their language and text size. Nothing to install.

Subtitle banner for screens

Two lines, paced for the room screen or the video feed: comfortable reading speed, no text rewriting itself under your eyes. Embeddable in your own web page.

Simultaneous translation

Several languages per room at once, each attendee picks theirs on their phone.

Made for AV control rooms

Audio comes in over SRT or RTMP, one channel per room. Sessions scheduled in advance, automatic start and stop, over several days.

Bots for online meetings

A LinTO bot joins Microsoft Teams, Jitsi, BigBlueButton or Visio (La Suite numérique), transcribes with the participants' names and feeds the same public page.

Hosted in France, or on your site

Our cloud, GPU included, or an installation inside your infrastructure for sensitive sessions. Free software in both cases.

Two options

Both use the same platform. The difference is who is at the controls.

Managed, per event

We run your event

You give us the programme, the rooms and the languages. We handle the rest.

  • Preparation call and dry run with your AV provider
  • Sessions, channels and languages configured for you
  • QR codes and screen layouts ready before doors open
  • Operator on site or remote during the event
  • Transcripts, summaries and subtitle files delivered afterwards

Quoted per event, from the number of rooms, days and languages.

Self-operated, all year

Your team runs it, from LinTO Studio

For recurring sessions: assemblies, councils, training, internal events. Your team runs it, we train them and stay behind them.

  • Live events mode activated on your organization
  • Create and schedule sessions, one channel per room
  • Connect your AV feeds and your Teams bots yourself
  • Public subtitle pages and QR codes generated in one click
  • Training, support and monitoring by LINAGORA

Yearly contract, sized on your hours and languages. Includes a Business workspace for your team's files.

Already on Premium or Business? The live microphone and the meeting bots are in your plan, with prepaid minutes (see live packs). The live events mode adds multiple rooms, AV feeds, scheduling and public pages.

Questions

What is the delay between speech and subtitles?

A few seconds. Text appears as the sentence is spoken and is finalized when it ends. Translations follow the finalized sentence, a few seconds later.

What does our AV provider need to do?

Send the audio of each room to an address we give them, exactly like a YouTube or Twitch live stream (SRT or RTMP). We test it together before the event. No hardware to rent.

Can attendees use it without an app?

Yes. The public page opens in any phone browser from a QR code or a link. It can be public, password-protected, or reserved to members of your organization.

Does it replace interpreters?

No, it complements them: a written translation in rooms without an interpreter, and an accessible transcript everywhere. Wikimania 2026 had both: interpreters in some rooms, LinTO subtitles in all of them.

Can it run inside our own network?

Yes. The full stack, GPU models included, deploys on your Kubernetes or Docker infrastructure. Sensitive sessions never leave your site.

What do we keep after the event?

Every session becomes a transcript in your LinTO Studio workspace: editable, with speakers, exportable as DOCX, PDF, SRT or VTT, and summarized on request.
