Comparison

LinTO Studio, the French open source alternative to Otter, Noota, Leexi and Copilot

Copilot, Gemini, Otter, Plaud, Noota, Leexi: everyone transcribes and summarizes. The difference is in live use, in what you can install yourself, and in where your meetings end up.

What makes the difference

Live, all the way to the AV desk

LinTO takes the sound of a room, a chamber or a stage, like a YouTube live stream. Subtitles go to the room screen and to every attendee's phone, in their language. At the European Parliament's European Youth Event 2025, nearly 9,000 young people followed the debates in the 24 EU languages. At Wikimania 2026, LinTO subtitled 8 rooms in 5 languages for the whole week.

Nothing goes to the United States

US law (the CLOUD Act) follows the company, not the server. Asked under oath by the French Senate in June 2025 whether he could guarantee that French citizens' data would never be handed to US authorities, Microsoft France's head of legal affairs answered: "No, I cannot guarantee it." LinTO is made by LINAGORA, hosted in France on servers it runs itself, and transcription, voice recognition, translation and the AI that writes all run there.

The code is open

LinTO Studio is published under the AGPL-3.0 licence. You can read the code, have it audited, or install the whole platform on your own servers, AI models included, with Kubernetes or Docker.

It knows your team's voices

Everyone can create a voice signature if they want to, and choose the organizations allowed to use it. LinTO then writes the right name in every meeting. You can keep only the voiceprint and delete the recordings, and one click erases everything.
